Social Responsibility, Charity & You

We all need to step up and do our part to better the world we live in. Today, we bring to everyone's attention, some fantastic causes we can all rally behind. I hope you take a moment to check them out.

    Our mission is to focus global attention and resources towards putting an end to mass atrocities around the world. We encourage governing bodies to take meaningful, immediate action to protect those in harm’s way. Where governments remain complacent, Not On Our Watch is committed to stopping mass atrocities and giving voice to their victims.

  3. One Dollar Nation
    One Dollar Nation is a non-profit organization devoted to eliminating extreme poverty and advancing education. We're an online community that gives our members a chance to participate in our mission. To become a citizen of One Dollar Nation, we ask that you commit at minimum of one dollar a month to our cause. We ask our Corporate Citizens to give one dollar a month per employee. The money raised will be put towards projects that have been selected by our citizens.

    Thistle Farms is a non-profit business operated by the women of Magdalene. By hand, the women create natural bath and body products that are as kind to the environment as they are to the body. All sales proceeds go back into the program. Through Thistle Farms, the women of Magdalene gain much needed job skills, and learn responsibility and cooperation. Into every product goes the belief that freedom starts with healing, and love can change lives. Our dream is that people will come to see Thistle Farms as a humble but powerful business synonymous with women’s freedom.

  8. The dZi Foundation
    THE dZi FOUNDATION supports twenty-two health, education, and community development programs throughout the Himalayan region of India and Nepal. We serve communities not on the radar of other International Non-Governmental Organizations due to caste make-up and remote location. Our programs make basic education more accessible by building schools; sponsoring and training teachers; organizing effective parent-teacher groups; and supplying books, school uniforms, and even daily lunches; Provide safe havens for young girls so that they are not subject to child labor and trafficking, and have an opportunity to go to school; Promote basic health through preventive dental and vision clinics for children, water and sanitation improvements, and hygiene education;

  9. Peace Angels Project
    Lin Evola now known as Lin Marie Evola Smidt continues to work throughout the world creating inspirational works of art and sculptures fashioned in part from the melting of weapons (from street arms to the casings of decommissioned nuclear missiles). The Peace Angels Project is grateful for her having worked with select corporate sponsors and partners to make a portion of her original works and reproductions available to you through the Peace Angels Project. 100% of all Proceeds from sales made through the Peace Angels Project go to support one of its community based projects.

  10. Share our Strength
    Share Our Strength is a national organization that works hard to make sure no kid in America grows up hungry. We weave together a net of community groups, activists and food programs to catch children at risk of hunger and surround them with nutritious food where they live, learn and play. We work with the culinary industry to create engaging, pioneering programs like Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation, Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale, Share Our Strength’s A Tasteful Pursuit, Share Our Strength’s Great American Dine Out, and Share Our Strength’s Operation Frontline.
