Infertility

Trying to bring that tiny bundle of joy into your life, but no luck getting pregnant? You are not alone; one of every six couples in the United States who is actively trying to get pregnant is also challenged by infertility. We can offer the help of these links shared by the specialists at Fertility Treatment Center (FTC), one of the nation’s leading sources on fertility treatments.

Today’s 10 Links a Day: Infertility Options and Info

  2. Conceive.com lives up to its name as a wonderful resource on conception.

  3. MedTrackAlert, a respected consumer health information source that aggregates and reviews the news from all major news sources, brings together all the latest on Infertility delivered right to your inbox or cell phone.

  4. iVillage dedicates an entire section of its website to Trying to Conceive, including message boards, tools, advice and more.

  5. Check out this article: Six Simple Steps May Increase the Chance of Pregnancy. ’Nuff said.

  6. Find some of your answers in What is Infertility?, an article posted on Scottsdale’s EVLiving ezine.

  7. For “Symptoms & Types” and other topics you’ve wondered about… check out WebMD’s Infertility & Reproduction Guide.

  8. Trying to get pregnant?” this Women’s Health government site asks – and then offers you a lot of answers.

  9. You’ve heard of Embryo transfer. Find out more about this wonder of advanced reproductive technology on Wikipedia. Embryo transfer can also be combined with the use of donor eggs, through programs such as FTC’s PreciousWonders.

  10. It started with the science, but we’re more enlightened now, too. Curious to see how far we’ve come? Time magazine reprinted its news article on the world’s first test-tube baby, published July 31, 1978, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the fertility treatment milestone on July 31, 2008.

David Malki's twisted twice-a-week strip wherein Victorian-era men, women, and sometimes animals and objects converse with one another, usually ending with a punch line you'll never see coming, especially in the context of these public-domain Dickensian illos.

  11. YouTomb
There are millions of videos up on YouTube, but thousands have also been removed, and not always with the owner's permission.YouTomb, a research project by the MIT Free Culture student group, tracks the top videos removed from the service for copyright violation, and retains the metadata about the videos so we, the public, can make our own decision about whether the removal was justified or not.
